Men Deserve to Suffer...

I promise I'm not trying to be mean, but we do... We all do.

Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents

John 8:34 said we are slaves to sin, Romans 8:8 says we do not please God... Romans 3 says this...

Romans 3:10-18 English Standard Version (ESV)

"10 as it is written:

“None is righteous, no, not one;
11     no one understands;
    no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
    no one does good,
    not even one.”
13 “Their throat is an open grave;
    they use their tongues to deceive.”
“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14     “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16     in their paths are ruin and misery,
17 and the way of peace they have not known.”
18     “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

So what in this tells us that we are so special that we don't deserve to suffer God's justice in wrath?
I believe that we are so blinded by human emotion and man-centeredness that forget that God has a purpose and right to judge and exercise his power of wrath on mankind.

Why are there tsunamis and earthquakes and massive tornados? It is God's will for them to happen... He alone controls the weather... His will is exercised in all things, Ephesians 1:11.

So my point is this... Don't go into the scriptures thinking man doesn't deserve God's justice and wrath, we all do... Some of us are chosen to recieve his mercy, others will recieve his justice, but none will recieve injustice... (Paraphrase from RC Sproul)
